As mentioned below, I was honored to be the speaker for Los Angeles Pictage PUG meeting. Even though my voice was about to give way from inhaling 2nd hand smoke all week in Las Vegas for the WPPI, I managed to get through my speech. I would like to thank Ann Kelly for letting us use her beautiful home in Beverly Hills for the meeting. Her cookies where addictive and the whole meeting was very cozy due to the warmth of her home. I have a guitar in my hands because before I was a Photographer, I had a nice career as a classical guitarist for 10 years. I was showing how I took my musical training approach to improve how I practiced my photography. I find the two very much related and the discipline that I learned from music has helped me tremendously in having a systematic approach to improving my skills as a photographer. I was honored by some of the comments said to me by the audience afterwards. Thank you so much for listening and I hope I helped a little to inspire you to keep working on those creative juices that helps us express ourselves the way we really want to.
Pictage PUG Meeting in Los Angeles
Hello everybody, if you are not doing anything tomorrow evening and you live in the LA area, I will be speaking at the Pictage PUG meeting in Beverly Hills. Here is the info if you are interested:

Please grab a parking pass from the front porch to put on your dashboard.
I will be speaking for roughly 45 minutes showcasing my work and approach. Hope to see you there.
I have been asked by a few people to post my WPPI award winning prints on my blog, as promised, here they are. Thank you for showing interest in my work.
I just got back from the WPPI convention in Las Vegas and I couldn't be happier. I met many great friends and talented photographers and that by itself made the convention in my mind a success. I also wanted to share that this year I received 11 award winning prints and the best part is that at the awards reception I was shocked and incredibly surprised when I heard my name as the 1st. place winner for the "photojournalism humor" category. I want to thank God for everything he has done for me with my photography. I was praying so hard that I would at least get third place in something, I never in my wildest dreams thought I would win 1st. Here are some pictures of the convention. Starting from left to right on picture 1: Marianne Lozano then "me" then Maureen Ford. On picture 3: Joe Cogliandro and Marco Wang, on picture 4: me, Tanja Lippert and Jason from Pictage. Picture 5 first one of second column: Me, Marianne Lozano and Jay Goldman, on picture 6: Me with Jules Bianchi
I had the pleasure of photographing these beautiful models for the REISS 2008 Spring collection. It was a festive night, I had a great time photographing it and I would like to thank everyone at REISS for a wonderful time.
